Friends

Most of you guys know I have a serious addiction to the "reality" shows on VH-1. One of my favorites is "Tough Love with Steve Ward" Steve basically puts a group of women through "relationship boot camp" to help them iron out their own personal issues/dramas to make them "suitable" for being in a working, lasting relationship.
This past week, their task was to get over their father issues. Steve said that by writing a letter to their fathers, they would be able to get out all the emotions that prevent them from being able to be in a successful relationship. The girls had a lot of deep-seeded emotion to get out about their dads.
I want to take a page from Steve's playbook and use this as an opportunity to get out my emotions towards the man I called "dad".

I was looking around on The Otaku for some new wallpapers, and one of Tamaki and Haruhi stood out. Not because of the artwork, but because of what was written in the background:

"Because I love you. I have, for a while. It just took me a long time to realize it. And I kinda think that maybe you love me, too, and you just haven’t realized it yet. And that’s ok. I know that when we do fall in love, it’ll be worth waiting for. You and I are going to redefine love. And that’s more exciting to me than anything else in the world."

Reading this made me think of someone that's become very dear to me. I'd like to hope that I'm dear to them as well.

I've heard this song twice this morning, and both times it made me feel pretty damn awesome. I'm going to have to add this to my workout playlist for sure, and most likely, to my "Stuff I listen to when I want to feel badass in cosplay!" I don't know why exactly, but I get the image of me strutting around a con hotel dressed as Rider when I listen to this.

How a song that brought me to my knees years ago, can still render me into a teary mess. So much has changed in these past two years, but the memories still remain.

In other news, I started playing Resident Evil 4. I suck at it. I've managed to get Leon killed twice (including getting him decapitated by a chainsaw guy), and I constantly let him run out of bullets. I'm sure I'll catch on, though.

Beth is coming over to sew today!! We're working on our Hardcore Twins costumes. I'm hoping we can get the dresses constructed.

*yawns* Two more days of work to get through, and I'm should have a day off. I need it. This waking up early crap sucks X_x
